Vincennes Holds No. 1 as Region XXIV Continues to Stack the Rankings

Region XXIV continued its strong national presence this week as several men’s and women’s basketball programs earned recognition in the latest NJCAA polls.

Men’s Basketball

Vincennes remained steady at No. 1 in Division I men’s basketball, holding their spot as the nation’s top team once again.

In Division II, Parkland climbed to No. 5, strengthening its position among the national contenders. Illinois Central checked in at No. 22, while Danville Area followed at No. 23. Rend Lake also earned Receiving Votes, giving the region four teams represented in the D2 poll this week.

Women’s Basketball

Southwestern Illinois held firm in the Division I women’s rankings at No. 24, continuing their presence inside the Top 25.

Region XXIV remained well-represented in the Division II women’s poll: Illinois Central at No. 3, Lincoln Land at No. 5, and Parkland at No. 10, all continuing strong early-season campaigns on the national stage.
