Region XXIV Programs Make Moves in Latest NJCAA Rankings

Region XXIV continued its strong national presence this week as several men’s and women’s basketball programs earned recognition in the latest NJCAA polls.

Men’s Basketball

Vincennes held firm at No. 1 in Division I, maintaining its position as the nation’s top team. Shawnee made a notable jump into the rankings, earning Receiving Votes status after an impressive start.

In Division II, Parkland holds steady at No. 6, while Illinois Central landed at No. 18. Danville Area and Rend Lake also appeared in the RV category, giving the region four teams represented in the D2 poll.

Women’s Basketball

SWIC entered the Division I women’s rankings at No. 24, marking their first appearance of the season.

Region XXIV stacked the D2 women’s poll once again: Illinois Central at No. 3, Lincoln Land at No. 5, and Parkland at No. 14, all maintaining strong national footing.
