Region XXIV Programs Maintain National Relevance in Latest Rankings
Region XXIV once again showed its national depth this week as multiple men’s and women’s basketball programs earned recognition in the latest NJCAA polls.
Men’s Basketball
Vincennes slid slightly but remained among the national elite, checking in at No. 2 in Division I men’s basketball.
Division II men’s basketball featured three Region XXIV programs in the Top 20. Parkland held strong at No. 5, while Danville Area moved into No. 18 and Illinois Central followed closely at No. 19, continuing the region’s consistent presence in the national conversation.
Women’s Basketball
Southwestern Illinois continued its climb in Division I women’s basketball, improving to No. 22 in this week’s poll.
The Division II women’s rankings remained heavily Region XXIV–influenced, led by Illinois Central at No. 3, Lincoln Land at No. 4, and Parkland at No. 12, all maintaining top-tier national positioning.
