Region XXIV Programs Continue National Presence Across Winter and Spring Sports

Region XXIV maintained a strong footprint in the latest NJCAA rankings as basketball, baseball, and softball programs all earned national recognition this week.

Men’s Basketball

In Division I men’s basketball, Vincennes checked in at No. 10, while John A. Logan remained in the national conversation as a Receiving Votes program.

Division II men’s basketball once again featured multiple ranked teams, led by Danville Area at No. 6. Parkland followed at No. 12, with Rend Lake at No. 14, giving the region three Top 15 programs.

Women’s Basketball

Southwestern Illinois continued its strong campaign in Division I women’s basketball, holding steady at No. 15 nationally.

Division II women’s basketball remained heavily Region XXIV-influenced, with Illinois Central at No. 5, Parkland at No. 7, and Lincoln Land at No. 10, keeping three teams inside the Top 10.

Baseball

Division I baseball saw Wabash Valley ranked No. 18, while Lake Land earned Receiving Votes recognition.

Softball

In Division I softball, John A. Logan appeared in the poll as a Receiving Votes program.

Division II softball featured three Region XXIV teams nationally recognized, with Illinois Central at No. 17, Parkland at No. 21, and Danville Area earning Receiving Votes status.
