Region XXIV Programs Continue National Presence Across Spring Sports
Region XXIV continued to showcase its strength across multiple spring sports as baseball, softball, and golf programs earned recognition in the latest NJCAA national rankings.
Baseball
Division I baseball featured Wabash Valley at No. 10, while John A. Logan also appeared in the national conversation as a Receiving Votes program.
In Division II baseball, Heartland checked in at No. 10, continuing the region’s strong presence on the diamond.
Softball
Division I softball saw John A. Logan earn Receiving Votes recognition.
Division II softball featured three Region XXIV programs nationally recognized, led by Illinois Central at No. 16, followed closely by Parkland at No. 17, while Danville Area also received votes.
Men’s Golf
Division I men’s golf included John A. Logan at No. 21 in the national rankings.
In Division II men’s golf, Heartland led the way at No. 1, while Illinois Central followed at No. 9, giving the region two teams inside the Top 10.
Women’s Golf
Division I women’s golf saw John A. Logan ranked No. 23, while Rend Lake appeared at No. 18 in the Division II poll.
