Region XXIV Programs Continue National Run Across Spring Sports
Region XXIV once again showcased its depth across multiple sports as women’s basketball, baseball, softball, and golf programs earned recognition in the latest NJCAA national rankings.
Women’s Basketball
Southwestern Illinois remained steady in Division I women’s basketball at No. 15, continuing its strong national presence.
Division II women’s basketball featured three Region XXIV programs inside the Top 10, led by Illinois Central at No. 4, followed by Lincoln Land at No. 8 and Parkland at No. 10, reinforcing the region’s strength at the top of the poll.
Baseball
In Division I baseball, Wabash Valley climbed to No. 13, while Lake Land checked in at No. 24. John A. Logan also appeared in the poll as a Receiving Votes program, giving the region three nationally recognized teams.
Softball
Division I softball saw John A. Logan earn Receiving Votes recognition.
In Division II softball, Illinois Central ranked No. 17, Parkland followed at No. 21, and Danville Area earned Receiving Votes, highlighting continued depth on the diamond.
Men’s Golf
Division I men’s golf featured John A. Logan at No. 21 nationally.
In Division II men’s golf, Illinois Central led the regional representation at No. 8, with Vincennes at No. 23, and Heartland also appearing in the poll.
Women’s Golf
Division I women’s golf saw John A. Logan ranked No. 23, while Rend Lake earned national recognition at No. 18 in Division II.
